Honor has lived and worked in Suffolk for 30 years. The coast, rivers and tides are an integral part of her life and this awareness has become key in her concepts. She has worked in graphics, ceramics and sculpture, but along side, painting has been a constant form of expression. Initially her work was figurative in style, the painting later developed into abstraction. At present there is a merging of the two.

Paintings are conceived from images seen or experienced, feelings and atmospheres stored. Final paintings are developed from sketchbook drawings. Early works were oils on canvas, using pallet knife as well as brush. Recently the works are in acrylic. Honor enjoys using whatever materials facilitate the outcome of the subject in hand.
